Jillian and Brian's autumn wedding in Providence at the Roger Williams Botanical Center was overflowing with amazing details like geodes, minerals, jewel tones, botanicals, gold accents, and of course, a lush indoor garden. Guests were encouraged to take home their own stones: Rose Quartz, the stone of unconditional love; Citrine, a personal power stone; and Chalcopyrite, a mystic stone. During the ceremony, a money tree blessing and watering replaced the more common unity candle or sand mixing. Olivia Gird Photography captured every moment of their amazing celebration!
A Roger Williams Botanical Center wedding in Providence, RI
Being with Brian has been a fairytale from the start, and our wedding was certainly nothing short of that. We wanted a unique venue that would transport ourselves and our guests to another world and the Roger Williams Botanical Center was perfect. The ceremony and cocktail hour took place in the main conservatory of the greenhouse, surrounded by lush greenery as rain softly fell across the panes of glass. It was important to us to incorporate our interests and personalities into the ceremony and decor. We're both avid collectors of crystals and minerals, and used these as a prominent decor detail. Much of the signage and decor we made ourselves and those personal touches made us so happy throughout the day. The most special part of the day was our wonderful ceremony. We put so much thought and heart into each reading and our handwritten vows. Love was everywhere and our wedding was everything I ever dreamed of. – Jillian
