Johanna and Jared got married in May at Wood Acres Farm, a lovely venue in Jared’s home state of Connecticut with an amazing barn space and horses on the surrounding farm property. All of their details blended perfectly with the environment, from the burlap bunting to the chicken wire escort card display. A quaint and rustic New England barn wedding in Terryville, CT
We wanted our wedding to be simple, carefree and preferably outdoors. And, of course, we wanted it to be blast! We searched around for orchards, barns, campgrounds, and other low-key outdoor venues in New England with an eye towards places that would let us really personalize by choosing our own vendors. Pretty quickly we landed on Wood Acres Farm. Wood Acres has this killer barn with a wrap-around covered porch set on a beautiful, wooded farm. We decided on BBQ for dinner, got a keg of Brooklyn Lager and had a mixologist friend design a couple signature cocktails. – Johanna
