Elisabeth and Andy got married at the lovely Rixey Manor in Northern Virginia. The bride, originally from England, was thrilled to find that the venue's co-owner was also from England and could help with English wedding traditions! Their color palette – elegant ivory, gold and green – had all the charm of a Jane Austin classic paired with modern styling. Every detail, from the little macarons for each guest to the lavender thrown at the end of the ceremony, was simply perfect. Elisabeth's friend from Australia made their cake, and the newlyweds decided on a sunset rooftop cake cutting to celebrate! Lieb Photographic LLC captured their beautiful day!
A classic Rixey Manor wedding in green and gold in Virginia
Elisabeth and Andy met in high school but didn’t start dating until college. Later, when Andy was stationed at Camp Pendleton, Elisabeth moved to California after graduating college to be with him. On Valentine's Day of 2015, Andy took Elisabeth ring shopping so she could choose an engagement ring, and then surprised her by asking her to be his wife that very same night in between getting frozen yogurt and seeing a movie! Elisabeth shared during her vows about how opposite they are in so many ways and how they complement each other and can’t imagine being without the other. She expressed her complete and total admiration for Andy’s character (a true gentleman, I might add) and his love for others. Andy also expressed his devotion and love for his beloved and gave a speech during the reception about his love for her that has spanned over the years. His speech was full of sweet moments as was Elisabeth’s dad’s speech, recalling what a remarkable, intelligent and accomplished daughter he has and how her mother would be incredibly pleased with her marrying Andy if she was still here. – Lieb Photographic
