Scarlett and Danny tied the knot on 12-13-14 at The Ebell, a historic landmark in Long Beach with Spanish-style architecture and a beautiful ceremony space. They approached their celebration somewhat non-traditionally: they used Appy Couple to send out their “invitations,” Scarlett wore a pink wedding dress, they took bridal party photos in a coffee shop, where the couple engaged in an epic arm wrestling battle, and they said their vows after dark by candlelight. The ceremony was short and sweet and included a funny moment where Scarlett vowed to love Danny, “for richer, or richer.” Peterson Design & Photography captured their amazing day!
A lovely winter Long Beach wedding at a historic venue
Danny and I met on a blind date set up by my bridesmaid Kimberly. We met in November of 2007 and it only took us seven years to finally get married. Danny and I both loved each other, but we didn't realize how much we were serious about our love until Danny moved to Canada for work. For three years we traveled back and forth to see each other. There were highlights about him being in Canada, but overall the distance tested our bond and in the end left us wanting more. One night while Danny was home from Canada, I came home from work to a cooked meal. Danny is an amazing cook! His skills in the kitchen are much to credit for winning my heart. After the meal, he took me for a walk along the boardwalk. We found a bench and looked out into the night sky. I could tell he was nervous about something. I was getting anxious to go back home due to the late evening. When I ushered us to get back home, Danny dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I didn't believe it. More like I couldn't believe him, so I asked him to repeat himself. When reality kicked, I found myself crying. We sat back down so I could reevaluate what had just happened to me. After a long talk about our future, I asked him if he would ask me one more time. Danny dropped down and asked me to marry him. I excitedly said yes! – Scarlett
