Nestled in the mountains of Pennsylvania, The Howland Preserve – 669 acres of historic property with a farmhouse and a barn – became the backdrop for Jessica Manns Photography's celestial inspired styled shoot! Featuring a color palette of deep blue and gold with nods to an ethereal, romantic sky, each detail was handpicked to create an intimate styled wedding for real life couple, Ella and Bobby.
A romantic celestial inspired styled shoot in Tunkhannock, PA
The couple got dressed in a gorgeous white room in the farmhouse; details included a beautifully simple flowy wedding dress, a huge wild bouquet filled with mixed greens and lush flowers like garden roses and purple callas, a cherry wood bow tie, a wedding ring made of wood and deer antler, a boutonniére featuring a wire crescent moon, and a phenomenal celestial invitation suite. The outdoor reception table helped tie the rustic element together with a deep brown farmtable with benches decorated with a gold sequin table runner, mismatched candlesticks holding blue and gold candles, blue glass goblets, gold silverware, deep blue tablecloth linens, two globes, stacked farm plates and delicate hand-drawn name cards. Taking advantage of the rustic beauty of the woods, the ceremony space featured an arbor draped in fabric of gold, purple, and blue with a metal crescent moon as the focal point, as well as a golden antique throw rug, and simple white ceremony seating edged with loose blooms in glass bottles and purple linen fabric draping off the side of the aisle seats. The bridal portraits were a perfect highlight to feature Ella's makeup done in shades of gold, reflecting the dazzling light filtering through the trees. The barn was the perfect location to showcase the reception with high ceilings, mismatched chandeliers hanging from the rafters, and market lights which gave a warm and romantic glow to the evening. The reception table was brought inside from the field and added a further romanticism to the night with dozens of lit candles. To toast their celebration, Ella and Bobby finished off their styled wedding with champagne (with a bottle featuring a crescent moon, no less) and shared a piece of handmade rustic white layered cake, topped with a blueberry crescent moon and moon pie wedding favours. – Jessica
