This gorgeous styled shoot from Grace Aston Photography and a team of local Northern California pros provides so much inspiration for designing a stunning wedding at a venue or private residence with Spanish mission-style architecture! Utilizing terra-cotta details, Pantone's color of the year, Greenery, and traditional Spanish cultural elements such as a tapas and sangria bar, they've created a perfectly romantic setting for a wedding celebration.
A romantic California Spanish mission wedding inspiration shoot in Chico, CA
Each hand-selected member of this team played an equally significant role in the curating of this shoot. Our venue’s seasoned olives tress, ivy walls, and hints of traditional Spanish villa architecture made for an ideal environment. Playing off the clean, organic elements already in place, Eliante + Co invested in less being more. A handful of items from the Floranthropist Market helped to enhance the ceremony vignette.
Lenora by Watters gives the bride a polished look with a sheath silhouette. Boasting the classic Circle Lace, Lenora features a high neckline with cap sleeves and a natural waist. Thoughtfully placed trim and cutouts contour the body while the open keyhole back adds a modern twist.
The romantic and dramatic cafe latte garden rose took the spot light backed up by a tale cream and champagne rose hints of hellebore, spirea and clooney blush ranunculus sprinkled throughout. Ivy and bay greenery were used along with pieris japonica buds were used to bring the palette all together. The head piece was a fully bloomed, dramatic garden rose flower crown to embrace the Spanish style we were achieving. The bouquet had a soft yet wild look, full of drama and romance.
A soft, romantic Spanish style chignon paired perfectly with the oversized floral headdress and full bang in accommodating Jenessa’s formal bridal look. A simple, clean dutch braid helped to define the second, more casual ensemble. Powder Room’s artist Kasenya kept the look natural to compliment the casual elegance of the dress and florals. She used a light layer of BB cream to enhance the skin, a soft black eyeliner to bring out her eyes, and a matte red lip for the perfect pop of color.
The organic nature of Hadley’s handmade jewelry coupled seamlessly with the villa-esque nature of this shoot. Delicate, yellow gold pieces draped Jenessa in each look with seamless transition. The ring is a stunning Cabochon emerald and with diamond cluster, on 18k white gold mounting. The cabochon emerald weighs 3 carats, accented by round brilliant cut diamonds, approximately 4 carats total weight.
The height of this three-tiered cake was inspired by the Gaudi architecture of Spain. Saffron cake vieled in a saffron buttercream, the concept of a late evening in a Spanish kitchen was in mind when composing a palette. Garnished with florals to mirror those used in the bouquet and tapas bar.
When coming up with a design concept for the suite, Stephanie drew inspiration from the details of traditionally vibrant Spanish tiles. The flourishes found within the intricate tile designs paired perfectly with Stephanie's signature calligraphy style without overwhelming it. – Grace
