Carey and Doug met working as DJs for a college radio station. They moved up to Washington D.C. after college, but they came home to Knoxville to celebrate their marriage with a vibrant and musically inspired wedding! From the bright jewel-toned table decor to the boho-inspired details, the day perfectly reflected their fun and unique personalities while infusing their passion for music and their story into the day. To continue with the music theme, guests submitted their favorite songs on “cassette tapes” for the bride and groom, and the DJs for their wedding were from their college station. They even had their former general manager from the station officiate the ceremony! Their favors were full of personality and charm, too: adorable coloring books designed by a close friend to tell their love story, including a blank last page for guests to draw their wedding and leave as a guest book! The tablescapes were created using vibrant glass bottles filled with wildflowers and vintage glasses. The ceremony backdrop was a painting done by a close friend of the bride and groom's. She also painted miniature versions of the painting for all the bridesmaids! Team Wedding made sure every detail came together perfectly, and Jennie Andrews Photography captured their fabulous, unique celebration!
