Christine and Todd tied the knot on the beach at a beautiful resort in St. Pete Beach! They chose a watercolor theme mixed with fresh florals for a clean, modern look that was also incredibly fun. The bride helped design everything from the invite to the menus, which all featured watercolors in perfect ocean hues. Even the ombré cake with beach chairs on top matched. Todd and I met through a mutual friend who invited us both out to watch football one Saturday afternoon. I instantly had a crush on him! Like little-school-girl-butterflies-in-my-tummy type of crush. We talked as friends for a few months before he invited me over for Thanksgiving dinner since our families both live out-of-state. We spent a good 7 hours just talking about life and getting to know each other. He kissed me that night and we both decided that same weekend that we didn’t want to date anyone else. As they say, the rest is history.
We had just gotten to Maine following my brother’s wedding that took place outside of Boston. We were tired and wanted to do something more low key (than hiking like we originally planned) so we asked the owners of our B&B what they recommended. They said there was a little wall-less chapel in the woods that overlooked the ocean and so off we went. I was standing at the front of the chapel looking out when he started pouring his heart out to me. Todd is normally pretty romantic so when he told me I was the love of his life, I started crying but didn’t think anything of it really. Then he turned me around as he got down on one knee and proposed. We still debate about whether I actually said “yes” or just stood there in complete shock. – Christine
