Nashville's Riverwood Mansion was the perfect location for this Downton Abbey wedding inspiration shoot with a Southern twist! The mansion dates back to the 1700s, and the elegant rooms and great hall transport you back to the Downton Abbey estate. Though the color palette is muted and refined, there are still plenty of bright and sparkly accents to catch your eye! From Amilia Photography:
Even though the show Downton Abbey has come to a close, the show's stories and impeccable style continue to captivate our hearts. This Downton Abbey wedding inspiration at Riverwood Mansion is perfect for any bride who wants to bring the twenties-era fashion of Downton Abbey's most glamorous weddings into a luxe, classy modern wedding. The centerpiece of the shoot is the bride's Jenny Packham gown. Packham is a British designer and her beautiful jeweled gown puts a modern spin on the Downton fashions, and the look was completed by the bride's beautiful hairpiece. Our groom's white-tie attire would certainly be approved by the Dowager Countess! Our incredible four-tiered soft white wedding cake, draped with perfect sugar roses, was modeled after Lady Mary's wedding cake and was a work of art to behold. Our bride and groom sipped on champagne and bourbon, and the elegant table's luxe linens and candlesticks would fit right in at one of Mr. Carson's dinners. Our real couple, Audrey and Patrick, shared so many sweet moments during the day, including a touching first look. They also wrote love letters to each other and read them aloud, which resulted in laughs all around!
