Longwood Wedding Film

I don’t often get the opportunity to feature wedding films, so today’s video of Julie and Gary’s wedding by Imprint Cinema is a special treat! Julie and her family made all of the details for her spring wedding in Longwood, Florida.

Gary and Julie’s wedding was filled to the brim with silliness, joy, and tons of fabulousness. Julie told me that she realized during her planning that she had never noticed “how country we are.” So that became a theme of the day. Her wedding had a rustic Southern charm and it could be seen everywhere from her tea light trees that stood behind them during their ceremony to the toasting flutes made from mason jars (which the bride made herself!) and her favors of strawberry jam.

The table centers were covered with vases filled with flowers and more candles than we could count; each table gave off a warm glow that reminded us every minute of the couple themselves. Julie made the table numbers and seating chart which had an old Southern movie ticket feel and placed each one into an adorable frame for her guests. We loved her guestbook, which was a typewriter for guests to give their well wishes and advice accompanied by a Big Ben box made by Julie’s sister (Gary is British) for each guest to drop their typed letters into.

Julie also made her veil with her grandmother – a time that she shared with us was very special to her. And one of their best friends Johnny was their officiant – providing everyone with a time of laughter, tears, and warm hearts.

Gary and Julie wanted a day that was not only about them but about their families, and I have never seen a couple as excited as these two to have every family member there with them sharing in this day. The first thing you would see as you walked into their wedding was a table filled with wedding photos going back generations in both families. And as Julie’s father-daughter dance, her family joined her to celebrate her late father in a square dance done to a recording of Julie’s father calling the dance. It was an emotional and heart-felt way for Julie to share her special day with her dad and it had every person in the room in tears.

At the end of the night, Gary sang a karaoke rendition of his favorite song “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen and shared the last moments of his wedding day singing to his new wife. This wedding was one of the most fun, emotional, and loving weddings I have ever had the chance to experience. These two definitely belong together. – Imprint Cinema
