DIY Loyola University Wedding

OKRFOTO

The talented Oriana at OKRFOTO shares this wonderful DIY summer wedding she captured in Chicago: Bridget & Matt's summertime outdoor DIY hitching was magnificent! The sun was shining, family & friends were buzzing with happiness and excitement. The day started out with an awesome first look – Matt was awestruck when he saw Bridget, hidden on a secret staircase amongst a thicket of brilliant green, blooming bushes. During the ceremony, Bridget's father sang a Tom Petty song and played the guitar while Matt's sister Amie read a fantastic poem in three movements she wrote about their sweet courtship. Sunglasses were used as favors for guests as both bride and groom enjoy collecting sunglasses. Bridget and her mother, Peggy, created all of the lovely DIY details featured from the place cards to the paper flowers and the awesome streamers featuring gorgeous henna designs. The groomsmen all wore flip flops and the bridesmaids all wore gorgeous dresses in different hues of pink. Everyone was dressed to the nines with a casual, sunny coolness that was hard not to love. It was a truly incredible and laid back summer wedding!
