Inspired by Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream yet set in the metropolis of New York City, this lovely styled shoot from RJ Imagery creates a regal scene with plenty of romance.
A romantic Shakespearean Midsummer Night's Dream styled shoot in New York, NY
With a grand, natural environment hidden far uptown, namely the Billing’s Castle ruins in Fort Tryon Park, the final gallery captured by Rebecca of RJ Imagery and planned by Fitting Fêtes evokes a fantastical and beautiful escape we hope awakens the imaginations of brides today. Three models were used to evoke the complex relationships woven throughout Shakespeare’s play, with a floral crown & blush dress highlighting the bride apart from her maidens of honor. They wore gowns from the Wild Rose & White Willow collections by Brooklyn designer Marina Semone Bridal and dreamlike makeup and hair by Makeup by Olivia G. Rings provided by Metalicious and bridal accessories provided by Everistta brought in a subtly modern touch of mixing metals. These colors & metal tones were echoed finally in Foxy Grandma Flowers’ romantic floral centerpiece, organic bouquets, and thoughtful hairpieces. In addition, Studio Chavelli inscribed an ancient calligraphy style to evoke the old world charm of the setting and the timeless theme of love, written not only on specially deckled paper place cards as well as hand-dyed silk ribbons, but on a custom-made runner to ground the lush tablescape filled with gold detailing. Completing the regal theme were an ethereal cake by A White Cake and soft table linens by Bayith, fitting it for a contemporary outdoor affair.
