Sally and Andrew love everything about the Colorado mountains, so it’s no surprise they chose to host their wedding celebration at the base of the Gore Mountains at Piney River Ranch outside of Vail! Danielle DeFiore Photography captured their sweet and rustic celebration!
A rustic wedding at Piney River Ranch in Vail, CO
This couple is adventurous by nature and wanted to give their family and friends a wedding experience that matches their lust for life. From sunny mountain slopes to canoeing and long walks in the woods, Sally and Andrew fell in love while spending time outdoors together in the mountains. Piney River has a little bit of all the things they love to do, and could offer their guests the opportunity to try during the wedding weekend.
With help from Denver-based wedding planner Brynn with First Look Events, the day was a balance of rustic meets city classic. Sally looked stunning in her lace wedding dress and fur shrug to keep her warm in the evening. It paired beautifully with Andrew’s navy suit and matching shades.
The unique and colorful fly fishing boutonnieres matched the colors of the bridesmaids’ bouquets and added some lovely soft mauves to the mix.
Andrew also had personalized axes made for each of his groomsmen, with the handles shaped from hand-chiseled logs and carved with the name of each friend.
Tables were draped with olive garland and an array of dark magenta roses, ranunculus and succulents to bring a little of nature’s simple beauty indoors. Wedding guests who had traveled all the way from the East and West coasts danced the night away under the a magical autumn moon in the Rocky Mountains for their mountain wedding. – Danielle
