I‘ve always loved moodier, more dramatic styles of wedding inspiration, and this elopement styled shoot from Marcela Pulido Photography and Vintage Mingle is the perfect example of dark romance done right! From Vintage Mingle: “We were inspired by the nature of the wolf; innately wild, inherently beautiful, and immensely loyal. The lone wolf howls into the night, illuminated bathed in moonlight and searching for his pack, for his mate. The wolf is symbolically ruled by the moon, which ties into femininity, romance and whose cyclical phases are a symbol of eternity. We wrapped all of these themes together to pay tribute to the wolf and create this moody, wild and darkly romantic inspired ‘everlasting love' wedding inspiration shoot at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. This elopement in the woods shows two souls finding each other and uniting for life. Besides choosing the couple's styling as an opportunity to express some edgy, moody vibes, we made the most out of our beautiful natural landscape. Silver Falls was the perfect natural backdrop providing breathtaking waterfalls and a lush forested landscape. It was overcast and just a bit rainy that day which helped enhance the mood we were looking for. I am excited to present this shoot and share the creative work of talented vendors in hopes to shine a positive light on wolves. They are beautiful creatures with sense of loyalty and strength and are so vital for a strong ecosystem. We should preserve their protection.”

Paper details designed by Kelsey Malie Calligraphy played with black papers, watercolor touches, black and silver inks and a custom wolf motif wax seal. The results exude moody and modern. Totally sets the tone and couple's style. We foraged for black river rocks and used them for place cards and a beautiful quote, “You keep me safe, I’ll keep you wild” inscribed on one large stone.
Our wolf bride with raven hair and porcelain skin complemented the magnificent backdrop with her modern edgy look. The white wedding gown, designed by The Diamond Sea Bridal, is chic and beautiful with simple lines and subtle texture, embellished with a beaded delicate belt. Zoe Cope, our wardrobe stylist and jewelry designer of Birds N Bones Jewelry, paired the gown with a black leather jacket, cast animal bone accessories from her jewelry line and a custom crescent moon inspired necklace piece, all of which added to the wild inspired style. With hair and makeup, Brittany Blanchard went with a bold, dark red stained lip, and copper smokey eyes. Brittany upped the bride’s singular look with a side french braid for an asymmetrical faux shaved look. For an element of surprise we chose a fresh floral earring dangling from one ear. An alternative, stylish add-on to the popular flower crown. The bride’s cascading bouquet by Portland Bloem helps soften the edges of our bride’s modern style. Large blooms of dahlias in shades of pink, currant reds, and dogwoods create an inspiring contrast. The Groom’s attire kept with our dark color palette. A midnight blue velvet blazer, black shirt, and fitted pants all added up to a handsome and stylish look.
The second look, designed by The Diamond Sea Bridal was simply stunning. An evening reception asymmetrical, one strap dress with a romantic vintage look was perfect for our free-spirited wolf bride. We kept her dark red stained lips and loose side swept waves, adorned the custom moon inspired necklace in her hair. She is the alpha queen of the forest sitting in her throne, boho chair styled with romantic florals and accompanied by wolfdog, Tsura. Who wouldn’t want a wolf to bless their wedding with a howl or two?
