When it comes to Christmas movies, it doesn't get much better than It's a Wonderful Life – at least not in my opinion! This charming styled shoot from Jenifer Michelle Photography and Patty Rodriguez Photography goes retro for the holidays with elements inspired by the holiday classic film! From Amber:
As the holidays approach, we are reminded of the elements that make these times so special. It's not the presents or elaborate decor, but the people who make our holidays whole. A romantic holiday shoot based on the classic Christmas movie, It's a Wonderful Life, we see a housewife and loving mother who has worked all day baking her husband's favorite sweets. With a booming, “Honey, I'm home!”, her blue-collared sweetheart arrives with a surprise bouquet of gorgeous flowers he picked up after work. We are reminded of their playful relationship and lighthearted love full of cookie dough tasting and messy flour fights. On Christmas Eve, in through the door walks dad, covered in freshly fallen snow, just in time to decorate the tree! Little Tati greets him with giant hug, and resumes playing with her newest toys, even sharing a game of marbles with her parents. The holidays aren't complete until calling distant relatives to send well wishes and adding more tinsel to their tree. Remembering how important it is to be together, George asks his wife what she wants… and offers to lasso the moon for her! Laughs are shared, and just before it's time for bed, we hear a bell ring. Tati recalls that her teacher told her, “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings.” As night falls, George finds a message from an old friend reminding him that no man is a failure when surrounded by his loved ones. With a smirk and glance at the heavens, George hugs his wife a little tighter that night, blessed for this truly wonderful life they share.
