Leagh and Michael really wanted an outdoor autumn ceremony, so they chose Scotland, where couples can legally marry just about anywhere they’d like! In September, they came to Loch Coruisk, Isle of Skye for a romantic commitment ceremony, joined only by the officiant and Euphoria Photography to capture every moment! From Euphoria Photography:
Leagh and Michael met through friends at a party. Michael immediately won Leagh’s heart after he made her toast late at night. When he moved to Edinburgh for work, Leagh followed him – and the time they had to spend apart made them realise how much they wanted to be together. Lost in the magic of the incredible location [Loch Coruisk], and wrapped up in each other’s company, they brought happiness to themselves and everyone who spent the day with them.
An intimate outdoor commitment ceremony in Isle of Skye, Scotland
Michael spent a long time looking for the right ring for Leagh. He found her a beautiful 1920s sapphire ring from jewelers who specialise in antiques in Edinburgh and was so excited when he picked it up that he proposed the same day. Leagh also wore a very special bracelet that her grandmother had crafted from a Newbridge spoon. Leagh later surprised him with her own proposal with a watch in a secret trip she planned at Traquair House, where they shared some of their happiest moments together. During their commitment ceremony, Leagh placed that very same watch on Michael’s wrist and he slipped her beautiful ring onto her finger. Leagh made her own floral hairpiece and bouquet from wild Skye heather she picked herself.
