From Emi Fujii Photography: “For this tropical styled shoot, I was inspired by the rich punch of colors in Hawaii. The white sandy beaches and soft blue-green waters were the perfect background to make our exotic flowers pop. Picturesque Makapu’u Beach was the ideal location for our styled shoot where we set up the sweetheart table nestled in the plentiful beach naupaka plants. The romantic Hawaiian legend surrounding the naupaka provided a touch of true love and enhanced the feeling of a special escape to paradise. Chavah with VidaChic made the lei haku and the sweetheart table with fragrant alpinia, awapuhi (red ginger), protea, lehua blossom, and bougainvillea. Lisa from Handwritten Aloha wrote her beautiful calligraphy on small ti leaves with gold ink. She also painted an “aloha” card graced with a traditional maile lei which symbolizes the spirit of Aloha, which speaks of love, honor, and respect. The ‘ono (delicious) coconut cake was made by Stephanie Culver from Tres Leches Cakes & Cupcakes.”
