When Wedding 101 Greenville and Sposa Bella Photography sent this lovely radiant orchid and gold styled shoot my way, I was excited to feature it for two reasons: 1) it's very pretty and 2) it's a little different from many styled shoots I see because it really focuses on having a ballroom / hotel wedding! The Westin Poinsett was perfect for this concept, complete with dueling pianos, a cigar bar and fabulous mood lighting.
A romantic and elegant radiant orchid hotel wedding styled shoot in Greenville, SC
Natives of South Carolina, Natalie and Sean knew they wanted to exchange nuptials in downtown Greenville, SC at the iconic 1920s Westin Poinsett. Getting married at the warm and charming hotel is every Greenville bride’s dream, and Natalie was no exception. Natalie and Sean enjoy spending time outdoors, so they knew they wanted to somehow incorporate their love of nature into one of the grand golden ballrooms in the hotel. With the help of Embassy Flowers, they were able to bring in gorgeous moss and blooms that adorned the rustic farmhouse tables, pianos, and the incredible cake table. The cake beautifully merged the golden aspects of the hotel and the rustic, natural elements that Natalie and Sean also adore. With layers of cake painted with gold leaf and birch, the awe-inspiring cake sat on a clear glass table round above a garden of blooms and moss. Natalie and Sean hired Jack n’ Diane’s dueling pianos to give their guests an entire night of entertainment, and when guests needed a break from the dancing, they could relax on the vintage lounge furniture next to the Cigar Bar. Fusing Pantone’s 2014 Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid, with glimpses of gold and garden elements in the historic hotel, stylistically, Natalie and Sean’s wedding was gorgeous. The two of them have an everlasting love, and we were honored to be a part of their special day. – Shannon, Wedding 101 Greenville
