Ali and Kyle got married in September at Salvage One, one of Chicago's coolest wedding venues! Their ceremony was officiated by a good friend, and the antique theme of the venue was complemented by creative music décor. All of the flowers were DIY, homemade from book pages and art paper by the bridesmaids and the couple's mothers. Erin Hoyt Photography captured their beautiful day!
An autumn Salvage One wedding in Chicago, IL
We were engaged for about 18 months and the planning process went on for most of the time. We did not have a specific theme in the beginning of planning but Kyle mentioned using records. I thought it was a great idea because he has a love for music. After picking our venue, an antique theme seemed to naturally develop which we loved.
For the color palette, I just knew I wanted something very neutral for the girls. I let all the girls pick their own dresses out in a neutral color. We also knew we wanted navy blue to be the accent color. This idea came from the fact that my ring is a blue sapphire. All the boys wore navy blue suits as well. – Ali
