When this provocatively chic styled shoot landed in my inbox, I couldn't want to share it with you all! Amy Sims, Photographer created a truly unique concept with inspiration you don't often see in the world of weddings! It features two gorgeous tattoo-covered women, mohawk up-dos, motorcycles, spikes and safety pins – all the makings of a rock star couple, without the gimmick. You're going to love it!
An edgy, provocative same sex wedding inspiration shoot in Brooklyn, NY
Last year, we set out to create an edgy, provocative, chic wedding shoot for atypical couples – all killer, no filler! The florals have an unusual, almost poisonous look, made up of deep maroons & hot pinks, as well as green vines accented throughout the shoot, that give a romantic but poison ivy effect. The cake is truly epic! It's a black matte cake with gold spikes & fishnet-like texture, complete with hot pink edible flowers. Artist Chrisolux hand painted all the escort & table cards, as well as a large sign that reads “No Regrets” – which encompasses the message of this shoot. These tattoos, these piercings, this life, this person, this love, this marriage – No Regrets. I knew we had created something special when one of the brides/models told me “You know, I've really never seen myself getting married, but I would TOTALLY get married in this dress!” (Dress by Galit Levi)
The goal with this shoot was to create a badass style for badass couples. Something that says, “This love rocks!” Some couples think they don't want a big wedding because they think that it has to be done a certain way. Not every couple is traditional, but every couple wants a wedding that reflects their personalities & expression of love. – Amy
