Marcella and Eric exchanged vows in a summer ceremony at Camp SOAR! The bride spent months working at the Girl Scout camp at their venue, so the location is very near and dear to their hearts. Nearly every element of their celebration was DIY: the flowers were grown and picked from a friend's garden, the reception centerpieces were 30 pies made by the bride and family members (Marcella had never baked a pie before), and she made paper flowers for the reception centerpieces and hand cut 1,600 stars that decorated all of the spaces. Eric (a restaurant chef) even prepared most of the food! To honor his parents who had passed, the groom wore his dad's watch, and the bride's ring belonged to his mother. Eric's cousin officiated the ceremony, and all of the table linens were furnished by various family members and loved ones to bring a personal touch to every table. Jill Gum Photography captured their incredibly sweet wedding day!
