I‘m not what you would call a “generic” gifter. I love finding one-of-a-kind, unusual gifts for people – the kind of gifts that make people ask, “Where on earth did you find this?” That's why I really dig the wedding gift selections UncommonGoods has to offer.
As a wine lover, I was especially drawn to the personalized and handmade wine-related gifts for the newlyweds! One of the nice things about UncommonGoods, aside from having an unusual selection you generally won't find when shopping strictly from a wedding registry, is the wide range of price points. No matter how much you're wanting to spend on a wedding gift, I guarantee there's something that will fit your budget and impress the happy couple.
The first gift idea to catch my eye was the Anniversary Wine Box, which you can learn more about here. It's a personalized birch wood box engraved with the couple's initials and it has three slots for wine – one to open on the 1st anniversary, one for the 3rd and one for the 5th. You're in charge of picking out the wine, and the couple has something special to celebrate each anniversary.
Another gift idea I really liked, especially because the carved tree design matches the Anniversary Wine Box, is the Personalized Tree Trunk Glassware Duo. You can click here to order a set of wine glasses, a set of pilsners or a set with one of each. These are hand-engraved by an artist in Tennessee named Jennifer Fillinger, and each glass is one-of-a-kind.
Now, the couple might already have plenty of wine and stemware, but what about storage? That's why I really like the grungy, rustic Reclaimed Textile Spool Wine Rack (check it out here) and the Steel and Stone Man Wine Holders. Georgia artist Robbie Cook crafts these two-level wine racks from reclaimed spools salvaged from a cotton factory-turned-WWII radial belt facility. For single-bottle storage, there are three wine men to choose from here. They're handmade from steel and stones from Sonoma Valley by an artist named Nerio Festa. I think they're really cute tabletop displays.
As a Floridian, this final gift idea from Uncommon Goods caught my eye: the Corkcicle! It's pretty much just what it sounds like. The icicle-style cork helps chill a bottle of wine. It's made from BPA-free plastic filled with a reusable freeze gel. The Corkcicle would make a fun little add-on gift, but it'd also be a really great idea for the bar at an outdoor reception!
Naturally, these choices are only a small sampling of all the unique gifts UncommonGoods has to offer. So if you're anything like me and are looking for something to wow the newlyweds, definitely check it out!
