This incredibly lovely styled shoot has all the beauty of the Amalfi Coast but actually took place in Austin! LewChan Photography and a team of talented vendors put together this wedding shoot inspired by lemons (Amalfi is known for them), and a palette of yellow, turquoise, cobalt blue and flashes of peach and pink to represent the coastline of southern Italy. The models, Kylie and Zane, are a real married couple, so they were perfect for the shoot!
A vibrant and beautiful Amalfi garden wedding inspiration shoot in Austin, TX
My husband and I were married in Italy and honeymooned in Positano along the Amalfi coast. Capturing the dreamy beauty of this destination was paramount! This styled shoot was all about light and freshness and color and lemons! We partnered with the folks at Bee Lavish furniture rental and used their lovely white-washed farm table and colorful tins and cake stands that adorned each of our two tables. Kylie's gown paired perfectly with the colorful china that my mom and I dug for at an antique mall here in Austin, as well as the medicine bottles and lace doilies passed down from my grandmother.
Katie from Little Yellow Flower Design and Jenifer from Sanregret Weddings worked seamlessly together as they styled tables straight out of my dreams. I was extra excited that the sea glass I collected in Positano was scattered on both tables. Turns out Jenifer's husband owns Austin City Lemons… PERFECT! She brought along with her some fresh squeezed lemon goodness for our fig puree and Deep Eddy Vodka cocktails. For flowers, I told Katie that I trusted her to come up with something ethereal and beautiful, her taste is fantastic! My only wish is that I wanted Kylie to look like she belonged in a bright and colorful garden. Katie brought along with her TWO floral crowns and arrangements that blew me away. She used blooms that were in season with big garden roses, sweet ranunculuses, feverfew and even amaryllis. Swoon.
The beautiful naked cake was baked by Jackie over at Sweet Treets Bakery, and I can attest that it was just as gorgeous as it was delicious. I was so in love with the delicate layers of white cake and buttercream frosting. A simple fig seemed like the perfect cake topper for this simple yet dreamy affair.
Our beauty team from Adore Makeup Salon (Rhea McCarter and Chancy Cone) do excellent work and were so fun to work with. Chancy's lovely braided up-do exceeded my expectations and then some. I asked Rhea to give Kylie a beachy and sun-kissed face of make up with a fuchsia statement lip. I could not have been happier. Kendra Scott provided the lovely turquoise pendant necklace and statement earrings for the shoot. I'm crazy about the pop of color along with Kylie's bold lip! The calligraphy and watercolor invitations were a project I worked on; I attribute my craftiness to my mom! – Eryn, LewChan Photography
